"One of underground digital cinema’s best-kept secrets: a prankster punk, an ass-kicking rebel priest." — Olaf Moeller, Film Comment

MONDOMANILA, or: How I Fixed My Hair After A Rather Long Journey

This may very well be the most controversial and inflammatory piece of work presented at Fantasia since A SERBIAN FILM.” – Nicolas Archambault, Fantasia International Film Festival

A colourful, rancid and perverse society in the gutter, in flashy, fast-cut scenes, with absurd dialogues and bizarre events… exuberant video clips, grubby film noir, hyper-realistic documentary and even slapstick.” – Gertjan Zuilhof, International Film Festival Rotterdam

Certainly a ride — musical numbers, dwarf-twin-lesbian sex scenes and blood splattering violence set in the Manila slums.” – Hope Dickson Leach, Edinburgh International Film Festival

Reblogged this on fond of meaning-to-say and commented:
I did not see this at the Brattle Street Theatre during the Boston Underground Film Festival with/thanks to Beryl. It did not make quite an impact on us; we will not be discussing it later.
